Live-in Cases

Beds

It is important that your caregiver get an adequate night’s sleep so they can be alert and fresh the following day.  Therefore, they need a comfortable place to sleep that also affords them some privacy.

Meals

While a caregiver will eat what is prepared for the client they appreciate acknowledgement of their personal food preferences.

Relief

Caregivers are entitled to two hours of relief per day.  Some caregivers will waive this in lieu of direct payment for this time without an agency fee.  If this is an issue or poses difficulty for the client, we can arrange for a caregiver who is agreeable to this.  In some cases, there is time that a client can be left alone, depending on the circumstances, in which case relief is not an issue.  The caregiver can also take relief when a family member is present.

Breaks

Your caregiver will take extended breaks.  During this time, we will send a replacement to cover the case until your caregiver returns.  The duration of breaks vary between seven to fourteen days.  Please note: caregivers are required to work a minimum of six weeks on a new case prior to taking a break.  This allows sufficient time for client adjustment and provides continuity of care.
